Pray for Greg Nizilek

(17 February 2007) Greg has been in the VA hospital for the past three weeks. He went in for bladder problems which turned out to be cancer and the doctors removed the bladder. They constructed a bladder from part of the intestine. It started to leak and Greg is in intensive care at this time. I will post updates as I receive them. Pray for Greg and Shirley as well as the doctors who are caring for him.

I just got a call from Shirley Nizalek about Greg. Greg is still in Intensive car and will be for a while. He is fighting an infection that arose from the Urine leaking into his abdomen. They went in to remove all of it that they could and it looks like they will need to go in again. Shirley told me that the Doctors said he may be there for months. He does not know this as he thinks it will be just weeks and plans to go to the reunion. I guess that he will not be fit to travel. Communicating with Greg is difficult in that he has no phone in his room and he does not own a computer. Greg's daughter (Linda) does not have a computer also. Cards would be welcome. Greg is in a tough spot, keep him in your prayers.

Greg was released from the hospital several weeks ago. He sounds good and is definitely glad to be home. Continue to pray for him and the family.
