My bout with pneumonia during '07 reunion

I should probably take this opportunity to extend my most sincere thank you to all the LRRPs and Rangers of the 9th Div LRRPs, Co E, 50th Infantry LRRPs, and the 75th Infantry Rangers, for the outpouring of sympathy and generosity that was shown my wife and I during and after the reunion. That should make any person proud to be associated with the LRRP/Rangers.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:  At no time in my life, through any of my experiences, have I known a better group of guys, that I would be proud to associate with again, if the situation required it.  Any time, any place, any situation.

I guess it needs to be clarified.  Here I am again, 4 1/2 months later, still suffering from the negative affects of my bout with pneumonia. I still have guys calling me, cheering me on.  You don't know how much this means to me, and Shar. And the guys who came by the hospital.  Not once, but multiple times.  The guys that still call me, again, not once, but multiple times.

I know that I'm gonna beat this 'creeping crud', sooner or later, and I look forward to seeing everybody in Colorado Springs and after that in San Diego.  I love you guys, there's no better group of men that I would want to be associated with.

Thank you oh so very much for your concern, sympathy, and generosity in this most trying of times, for Shar and me at least.
