The first day of Summer will be here on 21 June 2007. Time seems to fly when you are having fun. We have already had a couple of in the 90s days. Just the time to see if the air conditioning is operable and the summer clothes still fit. Today it may get to the 70s.

The political news seems be focused on this third try at "immigration reform". This is really dividing this country. We have laws which haven't been enforced and now we want to do something which will not solve the problem. When I say "we", I don't mean "us". The elected and the bureaucrats seem not to want to look back historically. Refer to my "From the Top" of December 2005. President Theodore Roosevelt in his 1907 speech said it correctly.

Also they, the White House and The Congress, should read a speech by the former Governor of Colorado and wake up to what is happening in this country. The country of Mexico polices their Southern border against the entry of South Americans and Central Americans. Then they abet the illegal exodus of their citizens into this country. Too much to fathom.

Do the best you can and enjoy life in the best country on this planet. We as a country are not revered around the world, but that doesn't bother those that will do anything to get here and enjoy what we as a nation have established. That is not a benefit , but an earned right.
